Here's a React.js App I Created, Incorporating 'The Movie Database' API

Updated: Dec 9, 2019

UPDATE - 12/9/2019 - I haven't kept up with the changes in the backend needed to keep up with the evolution of this API, so I ask you to please ignore any incorrect data from the database and focus on the design and basic functionality. Thank you.

Recently a valued client reached out to us at Catapult Viper and requested we design a minimum viable product mockup of a React.js app implementing relational data from an API.

Last Friday, I was tasked with having something up and running by Monday, to show the client, nothing too flashy but enough to demonstrate a baseline of functionality so the stakeholders can agree in their requirements for a finished product.

Other than using React, no frameworks or libraries were used. I think I'm getting pretty good with developing and designing these apps. This one fetches the JSON data from the API nicely and I uses State to display different data to the user. I hosted it on my GitHub Pages. Have a look:

My team at Catapult Viper was pleased, as was the client. I was rewarded with some time off, as compensation for working through the weekend, which I happily accepted.
